Welcome to my blog, my name is David May, I'm and Aboriginal artist born in 1968 in the city of Mount Gambier, South Australia where I had lived all my life until moving to Wollongong NSW in 2007.                                                                                                

My Ancestry are the Ngarrindjeri Nation who's country comprises of the Lower Murray River, Murray Lakes, and Coorong areas of South Australia.

I am a self taught artist who has been painting for around 12yrs doing a more contemporary art. My mother, aunties and grandparents were one of may families who were relocated against their will and placed on a christian mission called Gerard in the Riverland of S.A. where it still exists today.

Another mission called Raukkan is in the South East of S.A. is in Ngarrindjeri country where people can learn about culture and heritage through its place of learning called Camp Coorong.

I began painting a more contemporary Aboriginal art around 12yrs ago, I am a self taught artist.

I am hoping to attract those who have a love for Australian Indigenous art! those that see it's unique form seen no where else in the world.
